A Local Resolution

It’s a NEW year! It’s resolution time! We are 150% behind healthy living and becoming our best selves. In fact, we’re downright passionate when it comes to good food and bringing that good food to you! That may lead you to think we’d choose a resolution like “eating better” or “getting fit”, and while we support those resolutions, we’re going in another direction this year. What you may not know about us is that we aren’t just a food brand. Our storefront doubles as a Tasting Room AND we have a Barrel Room where we host and co-host local events with local businesses!

That brings us to our 2019 resolution: Showing more support to our local friends, neighbors, and fellow small businesses! Small businesses not only have a lot of unique, special things to offer, but by shopping them and showing them some love, you are directly contributing to YOUR community! You are fostering relationships with and between neighbors, you’re helping families raise children, you are directly patting the back of the person who has sacrificed so much to make their dreams come true! It’s so important these days to show extra love to the amazing people that make up a community, and we’d love to let you know about a few of them that we’ve worked with, admired, and are surrounded by!

Blue Jays & Butterflies, Creative Wood Projects:

Blue Jays & Butterflies is the creation of Amy Rodoni. Amy brings her creative wood sign designs to life by teaching sign making classes! As a small business owner, Amy offers a way to bring our community together through private parties for all occasions and also hosts public parties at places like, you guessed it, Sonoma Harvest! Most months you can find an opportunity to make a unique sign right here in our Barrel Room! Reach out to Blue Jays & Butterflies to find a DIY opportunity coming up, or make one happen!

Journey Coffee Co.

Journey Coffee Co. is our actual neighbor right here in Fairfield (they also have a Vacaville location). Could we be any luckier?! Morne van Staden is the Founder & CEO of this local and inviting coffee shop and we LOVE his vision! Not only do they have amazing coffee and delicious food, but they also host events like live music, foster relationships throughout the community, and support local vendors! That’s exactly the kind of business we love supporting.

Emily Kent Photography

Emily Kent is an amazing Bay Area photographer that time after time captures every single amazing facet of Northern California. Her images beautifully showcase what a stunningly incredible area we are so lucky to be surrounded by. The things we love the most about Emily (aside from her obvious talent) is her pure spirit, her love for our community, and her genuine love for nature, both of which show in her work. We encourage you to check her out and follow her visually stunning adventures in photography.

The Barn & Pantry

Lindsay Hickman is the environmentally friendly and organic loving heart behind this unique business located in Dixon. The Barn & Pantry not only offers up coffee, pastries and locally sourced foods, but you can also attend classes on things like canning & preserving and making cheese! You’ll be hard pressed to find a business like this anywhere else!

It’s so fun to share these amazing businesses with you. Not only are they full of great services and products, but the people who own these businesses ARE our community! They make up this area and that’s such a beautiful thing! We have lots, lots, lots more friends and neighbors we can’t wait to share with you and work with in 2019! We have a ton of new styles of events coming up and in the planning stages and hope you’ll come check them out along with all the other small businesses near us and near you!
